Things are moving fast. Only two days after Leon was told he could work from home from next week, he’s heard rumours London is due to go into lockdown. He wants to come to stay with me in Cardiff where things are still relatively free.

We think that if London is locked down, it will happen without warning so people can’t flee. This is what was supposed to happen in Milan but a leak led to people heading out of town and the virus spreading. Leon’s heard the army is getting ready to block roads. Update: no longer a rumour, see pic.

Now comes the problem: Lily’s beloved cat is due to be put down in Twickenham on Friday and she wants to be there. Watch this space!

I’ve had to ask my AirBnB guest to cut his stay short by a few days. I feel very sorry for him as he’s just arrived to start a new job in Cardiff… at the worst possible time.

As if that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, mum has been taken back into hospital. She has high blood sugar and her pacemaker’s not working properly. Dad is very frazzled. I’m due to go up to Derbyshire on Friday. It was supposed to be to celebrate his 90th birthday, but events have overtaken us…
